Vandal Resistant
SAF DEK provides a safety system that has proven to be the most effective playground choice for resisting vandalism due to our custom hand troweled installation and seamless construction process.

Proven - Safety
SAF DEK is designed to meet the latest test requirements of the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission guidelines for child safety (ASTM F1292). Please call our office for the latest ASTM Specification test results.

American Disabilities Act
SAF DEK is also in compliance with the recently mandated ADA for Wheelchair Accessibility (ASTM F1951:99).

Seamless
SAF DEK is composed of peroxide cured EPDM and recycled select rubber bonded by a specially formulated polyurethane binder. SAF DEK is poured in place resulting in a seamless surface, greatly reducing the liability of tripping hazards.

Porous
SAF DEK is porous, eliminating standing water immediately after rainfall and/or/ cleaning. This unique feature allows activity to resume quickly on your SAF DEK surface.

Environmentally Friendly
The Majority of the rubber used in the SAF DEK impact course is recycled from post consumer tire rubber. As a result over 6,000,000 pounds of scrap rubber have been saved from our nations dumpsites. This post consumer use of rubber was foremost in the design process of SAF DEK in keeping with the environmental concerns of Pathway Surfaces Inc..

Low Maintenance
SAF DEK's long lasting durable surface requires minimal maintenance and carries a multi-year warranty. SAF DEK surface is virtually maintenance free and can be cleaned by hosing with water or naturally by rainfall.

Slip Resistant
SAF DEK's unique coefficient of friction characteristic greatly reduces the probability of slip/fall accidents.

Proven Durability
Selected by the industry's two (2) most demand conscious clients, McDonald's and Disney World, SAF DEK stands up to the traffic of 15,000 visitors daily at our Disney World / Disneyland play surfaces.

Raw Materials
We incorporate only the finest EPDM peroxide cured granules and a proprietary blend of 100% polyurethane binder originally developed for McDonald's. Most surfacing companies choose not to use the highest quality of raw materials.

Craftsmanship
We are both the manufacturer and installer nationwide. This ensures consistent quality, timely services, provides our clients maximum liability protection and eliminates any confusion relative to warranty or service concerns. This is rare in the surfacing industry.

Financial Strength
Pathway Surfaces has the financial strength to install and warranty up to five hundred (500) projects annually. This is a unique exception for a recreational surfacing company. We provide $6 million in product liability insurance for our customers.
